MTPR has fun programs for all of our friends in our community! Adaptive Recreation programs are created and organized specifically for those with cognitive disabilities, with or without physical impairments. There's something fun for everyone! Check out programs coming up:
CLUB CREATE ( Ages 18+)
Explore, create and play with all kinds of art media! Every week will be a new creative project, or continuation of a more involved project! Caregiver assistance required. All materials are provided. Instructor: Debi Martone. Hosted by: Michigan Art Access
Let's Get Moving! (Ages 18+)
Skill building with fun, fitness, dance, and social time! Please wear indoor gym shoes. Caregiver assistance required.
Volunteers needed! If you can spare a few hours per month to assist with our program, we could use your help. Please contact Dana for a volunteer application at (734) 778-9932.
Wednesday Social (Ages 8+)
Each month hosts a new activity to socialize, make friends, get active, creative, and have fun! Hosted by TrueLife Academy

Buddy Soccer (Ages 6-15)
This is a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with cognitive disabilities, with or without physical impairments. Each player is paired with a buddy, age 10+, to assist them as needed.
Buddies are provided and all part of the team. it is FREE to volunteer as a buddy, there is a $10 fee for the team shirt, included with cost of registration. To become a volunteer buddy, email Shannon at rochestermi@gymboreeclasses.com
In Case of Fire (Ages 5-12)
Learn all about fire safety in an actual fire department. MTPR and the Macomb Township Fire Department are teaming up to teach those with cognitive disabilities, with or without physical impairments, all about fire safety through safety-related games, activity, and a craft.
If assistance is needed, caregivers are required.

Autumn Foursome!
December Foursome!
What are the signs of December? Snowflakes, crazy winter sweaters, hot cocoa with cookies and a pair of snowmen! All of these will be painted on a 12 x 12 canvas, which will be divided into 4 sections, one for each sign of December. Acrylic paints along with some additional snowflakes and “mini snowballs” will made this a wintery masterpiece!
