Parent and Child Swim Lessons (PAC)
(1 - 5 Years)
Parent and Child (PAC) Swim Lessons are beginner level classes that include both the parent/guardian and the child actively participating in the class together.
These classes are meant for children 1 – 5 years of age who are 1) new to swimming, 2) may have some fear of swimming or 3) may still benefit from a parent being in the water assisting them.
Activities in these classes are intended to help children become comfortable in the water.
Expect “Play” based activities utilizing stations throughout the pool, guided by the parent or guardian.
The goal of the PAC classes is to get the child comfortable in the water and ready for our Learn-To-Swim (LTS) Program.
One parent or guardian is expected to be in the water, actively engaged with their child at all times.

Can my child who is under 6 years of age join the Learn-To-Swim (LTS) Group Lessons?
If your child can go in the water without a parent AND is not afraid to work independently with an instructor, then YES. As a matter of fact, we want you to enroll them in the LTS Group Lessons if they are comfortable in the water! Your child MUST be able to get into the water and work independently with an instructor without your involvement. We understand your child doesn’t know how to swim, but they must be able and willing to get in the water without a parent in order for us to teach your child.
Parent and Child (PAC) Swim Lesson Policies
- A Parent or Guardian Must Accompany Child in the water for ALL lessons.
- Children are to remain out of the water until their instructor begins class with them and remain out of the water after class has concluded.
- Children 6 years of age and older should NOT be enrolled in the PAC Program. Please refer to the Learn-To-Swim program for lessons suitable for 6 years and above.
