Halloween Hoopla

A Kooky, Spooky, Delightful, Frightful, Family Friendly Costume Carnival!

Everyone is invited to dress-up and join us for the best Halloween Party in Macomb Township! A full evening of activities and attractions are planned for the entire family to experience. Families will have the opportunity to take in a magic show, walk the vendor sponsored Trick or Treat Trail, stroll through the haunted house, dance the night away at Monster Studio 54, get your hair and nails done at the Freaky Hair Salon & Spa or make crafts at our “Boo-tique”.
Last but not least, families can commemorate the evening by stopping by the Adam’s Family Portrait Studio to have their picture taken. Concessions will be available for sale at our Caution Café throughout the evening. Coolers and outside food are no allowed inside the Macomb Township Recreation Center. Tickets for Halloween Hoopla must be purchased in advance, there will be no tickets sold at the door. Ticket sales are limited to first 700 people registered for this event.

TRICK or TREAT TRAIL SPONSORSHIP: For “Trick or Treat Trail” sponsorship information or to register contact Michelle at dudam@macomb-mi.gov. The Trick or Treat Trail sponsorship fee is $50.00 and sponsors must provide their own table, decorations, and treats for 400 kids.

Holiday Tree Lighting & After Glow

Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to join us as we welcome the holiday season with our Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. This FREE EVENT begins outside with caroling, a greeting from township officials, the arrival and greeting of SANTA and concludes with the lighting of the tree. After the ceremony join us inside the recreation center for a warm festive celebration that includes visits with Santa, refreshment stations, children crafts & activities and “carol-o-ke” entertainment.

Drop boxes for toy collection can be found at the following locations:

Silver Bells Scavenger Hunt
Find 6 sets of Silver Bells hung high above 6 locations in Macomb Township. The clue cards will be posted on Facebook Friday, December 3, 2021 at 7:00pm. Families have 48 hours to solve 6 kid friendly riddles. Each solved riddle will lead you to the location of a set of Silver Bells. Families MUST take a photo of each set of Silver Bells. At least 1 family member must be included in each photo.

Santa’s Jingle Bell Brunch

Parents, you and your kids wont want to miss this fun and festive morning with Santa as he has found time in his very busy schedule to pay the families of Macomb Township a visit.  Santa has a special interactive show planned singing some of his favorite songs and telling some of his favorite stories.  Afterwards you will have a chance to visit with Santa and receive a holiday gift from him.  Pictures are not provided so please remember to bring your camera.

Also included in this special morning will be continental breakfast which offers up pastries, fruit and juice. Rumor has it there will be a special guest appearance by Frosty the Snowman and Freckle the Frog in his holiday best!  Location for the 2019 Jingle Bell Brunch will be at the Macomb Township Recreation Center located at 20699 Macomb St.  Two sessions for the Jingle Bell Brunch will be offered. Session 1 will be from 9:00 - 10:30am and Session 2 will be from 11:00am - 12:30pm.
