SEMCOG is seeking input on priorities for the 2045 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) for Southeast Michigan, to be adopted in 2019. The RTP describes how billions of dollars in federal, state, and local revenues will be invested to support our transportation system.
Southeast Michigan will undergo dynamic changes over the coming decades regarding travel preferences, connected and automated vehicle technologies, and the evolving needs of an aging region. The 2045 RTP will consider these changes and their effects on travel issues such as walking and biking; traffic safety; pavement condition; transit; environmental quality; traffic congestion and operations; and freight and border crossings.
