Property owners in Macomb Township are required to remove snow and/or ice from public sidewalks within 24 hours of a snow and/or ice event. This applies to public sidewalks on all sides of a home or business, including those that run along major roads and connector roads (Code of Ordinances, Chapter 5, Article V, Section 5-82). By removing snow and ice in a timely manner, we collectively help keep ourselves and our neighbors safe from injuries caused by slips and falls.
