The Building Department is responsible for inspecting any construction that a permit is taken out for in Macomb Township. This includes any building, plumbing, heating, or electrical work that is done in Macomb Township. If you are unsure that a permit has been taken out or if a permit is required, please contact us.
Public Sidewalks Must Be Cleared of Snow
Property owners in Macomb Township are reminded that the Township has an ordinance requiring the removal of snow and/or ice from public sidewalks within 24 hours of a snow and/or ice event. The ordinance applies to public sidewalks on all sides of a home or business, including those that run along major roads and connector roads.

Prospective & Current Business Owners
Macomb Township requires that any structure or premises that is to be occupied, reoccupied, created, erected, changed or converted, must first be issued a Certificate of Zoning compliance. Please download an application packet.
