Supervisor Viviano presents 2023 State of Macomb Township address

Township Supervisor Frank Viviano presented the State of the Township address on May 12, highlighting exciting future projects and recent successes for the community. Over the next year, the Township will be finalizing several road and park projects including the opening of Garfield Road from 22 Mile to 23 Mile. Two new parks have also joined the Township's park system: Pitchford Park, about 16 acres, and Paul and Annette Lucido River Park, roughly 20 acres. Even with a number of community expansions and improvements, Township residents will save over $1 million annually in spending after the Township Board restructured expenses. It's an exciting time to be a Macomb Township resident!

Water distribution after main break

Township works hard to help residents during water main break

After a water main break on 24 Mile Road caused a boil water alert, Township officials distributed over 1,700 cases of water to Macomb Township residents. The Great Lakes Water Authority and the Township's Department of Public Works collaborated to fix the water main, test for bacteria and ensure residents had access to clean water as soon as possible. State Representative Joseph Aragona, Congressman John James’ and Congresswoman Lisa McClain's staff, and Township employees distributed water over two days.
