Kick Off the Christmas Season With Us

Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to join us as we welcome the holiday season with our Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony. This FREE event at 6:30 p.m. on December 2, begins outside with caroling, the arrival of “Santa” & the Holiday Lighting display. Then join us inside the Recreation Center for a warm festive celebration including refreshments, crafts, music, live reindeer, photos with Santa & giveaways! Start a “new” tradition or ‘carry on' the tradition!

Pitchford Park Takes One Step Closer to Reality

Construction for a brand-new park is on the horizon after the Macomb Township Board of Trustees awarded a construction contract to Warren Contractors during the Wednesday, Nov. 16 Board Meeting.
Construction for the long-awaited Pitchford Park is set to begin by the end of 2022 and is expected to be finished by Fall 2023. Learn more about the company chosen for the project HERE.

Macomb Township Hires First GIS Specialist

The explosive growth of Macomb Township has led township officials to hire its first-ever GIS Specialist. The new employee will use data and technology to help the township make more informed decisions as the area continues to expand. This person will plan, develop, and coordinate all GIS data and projects. They will also serve as GIS and technology advocate to other departments to encourage data sharing to help improve the decision-making process of Township leadership. Winter Tax Bill: Pay Now, Stress Less

While the last day to pay winter taxes without a penalty isn't until February 14, you can pay now to avoid unnecessary stress. Between December 1 and February 14 you can pay your bill with no penalty. On February 15, a three percent late fee will be added. At that point, you will have until the end of February to pay the bill. If it is still not paid the bill is transferred to the county and they will add a five percent fee. The three percent township fee is taken off.

Spread Holiday Cheer to Those in Need

Looking for a place to donate Christmas gifts to those in need? Drop boxes for toy collection can be found at different locations around Macomb Township until December 16. You can drop off toys at the Recreation Center or any of the four Fire Stations. You can help give Christmas Joy to those who might not be able to afford the luxury. Give the Gift of Health

A membership to the Macomb Township Recreation Center is a gift that will keep giving all year long. There are no initiation fees or startup costs associated with purchasing a membership and you can pay monthly or annually. Members get access to the exercise equipment, basketball courts, tracks, swimming pool, and discounted registration fees for programs or classes offered through the Recreation Department. The Recreation Center is conveniently open 7 days a week for a total of 100 hours a week. Learn more about the Recreation Center HERE.
