Water Main Repairs Done, Irrigation Ban Lifted

Over the weekend, work was finally finished on the 120” water main!
Due to this, the irrigation ban has been lifted and you can resume normal water usage.
Please note that there may be some air in the system causing your water to appear cloudy. This is expected. Run your faucets for a few minutes and it should clear up.
We appreciate your help during this unique time.

Township Invests in Parks With Major Upgrades

Our Parks and Recreation Department's work is never done because they are always working to better our community. Recently, Waldenburg Park saw upgrades to make the park an even better place to play.
A new swing set was installed, the basketball court was renovated, new picnic tables were placed under the pavilion, round tables with umbrellas were added near the front, and much more. In the past year, $1 million from the Public Improvement Fund was allocated for park upgrades. With this funding, there are also plans to upgrade the play structure at Macomb Corners Park, add a second play structure there and install pickleball and basketball courts.
Keep up with the ever-improving parks HERE.

Board Meeting on Youtube

Township Board Approves Upgrades to Make Meetings More Accessible

New software will make it even easier to watch the township board meetings live from home, or anywhere else. Civic Media is software from our website hosting platform Civic Plus. This software will allow for board meetings to be livestreamed directly onto the website and will then be archived on the website for at least a year. This allows residents easier access to information on the decisions being made in the township.
The changes will be made in the coming months, be sure to keep an eye on the website for updates.

Open Burn Ban Keeps Family, Neighbors Safe

Macomb Township's Open Burn Ordinance protects residents and their property.
With the hot, dry summer we've had, keep your family and your neighbors safe by:

  • Not burning near homes in subdivisions, condos, apartments, and mobile home parks.

  • Obtaining a permit before burning in an area where it's allowed.

Veggies in farm stand boxes

Fresh Veggies are Just Around the Corner

There are so many things that make Macomb unique, but maybe the greatest part is the fresh produce grown in our community. Wherever you are in the township, you're never far from a family-owned farm stand with most of the veggies grown right here.
Beautiful vegetables are picked at their peak freshness and readily available to you. It doesn't get more farm-to-table than that. See where you can get local produce and support local farmers. CLICK HERE
